Think Out Loud Productions to Film and Produce Educational Web Series for the Florida Aquarium in a Project Made Possible with Generous Support From the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.
Executive Producers, and brothers, Sean and Brooks Paxton have worked with both organizations over the past several years on a number of educationally-driven events and conservation initiatives. They expressed that,
"Both of these institutions are internationally-recognized and respected for their leadership in education and conservation and we're proud to continue our collaborations with this project, which provides a powerful opportunity to leverage new media and the internet to reach students in classrooms around the world. These are the future stewards of our planet's marine environments so job number one is promoting this series to inspire as many young minds as possible. We ask everyone to join us in that effort, which is easy to do since the series is also being made available to the general public. We feel anyone can gain something from watching and sharing, whether you're young or young at heart".

The Florida Aquarium Partners with the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation for Educational Webisodes
For Immediate Release
February 7, 2014
Tampa, Fla. –The Florida Aquarium has released the first of five educational webisodes in partnership with the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and Think Out Loud Productions.
The web series called “Tanks to the Ocean” is a multidisciplinary, multimedia outreach program that uses the Aquarium’s resources and animals to help educate local students about:
• Healthy ocean ecosystems
• Biodiversity and food webs
• Sustainable fisheries
• Careers in marine science
• Ways to be a positive force for ocean health
The series is narrated by local reporter, Terry Tomalin and features an inside look at the marine sciences using the Aquarium’s biologists, educators and animals as guides.
In addition to the webisodes, a teacher workshop that aligns with the webisodes was recently offered for 12 local middle school teachers; providing an opportunity for The Florida Aquarium to receive ongoing feedback about this well-rounded and interactive learning experience for the community.
In April, the “Tanks to the Oceans” series will feature a streaming lesson live from the Florida Keys. Students/viewers will join a team of The Florida Aquarium’s biologists, scientific divers and our conservation partners as they dive to transplant coral fragments and monitor reef health in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The Aquarium’s team will be joined by Think Out Loud Productions to handle the technical aspects of the broadcast.
